Reze Steps Into the Light
The visual, titled "MAPPA 15th Anniversary Key Visual: Chainsaw Man Reze Arc ver," shows Reze walking out of a dim alley toward a wash of light. It's a fitting choice for the studio's anniversary opener: the Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc movie, which MAPPA released in September 2025, went on to gross $191.4 million worldwide and topped the US box office on its opening weekend.
MAPPA turned 15 on June 14, and the studio is rolling out three commemorative key visuals to mark the occasion. Japanese entertainment news site Comic Natalie reported that this Chainsaw Man illustration is the first installment, with two more to follow. Given the copyright block attached to the anniversary event materials, which references Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan: The Final Season, Dorohedoro Season 2, and Ranma 1/2 alongside Chainsaw Man, the remaining visuals will likely feature other tentpole MAPPA productions.
Lineup Reveal on June 19
On June 19 at 8:00 PM JST, MAPPA will host a "15th Anniversary Lineup Announcement" livestream on its YouTube channel. According to promotional materials, the event will share new information on six anime series: Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan: The Final Season, Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc, Dorohedoro, Oblivion Battery, and Ranma 1/2.
The Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc, which adapts the next major arc of Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga after the Reze Arc, was previously announced at Jump Festa 2026. The June 19 event is expected to provide a first look at the new season. Dorohedoro Season 2, adapting Q Hayashida's surreal action manga, is also on the slate, along with an anniversary short film set to an original song by PEOPLE 1.
A mystery "new project" is also teased. MAPPA hasn't shared details yet.
Looking Ahead
The MAPPA 15th Anniversary Lineup Announcement streams on June 19 at 8:00 PM JST on the MAPPA YouTube channel. For international Chainsaw Man fans, the Reze Arc movie is available on Crunchyroll, which handled theatrical distribution outside Japan through Sony Pictures Releasing. The original Chainsaw Man manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto is published in English by Viz Media and available digitally on the Shonen Jump app. Part 2 of the manga wrapped its serialization on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ app in June 2026.
