Jujutsu Kaisen Culling Game Film Unveils Naoya Zenin Character Visual
By Kyle Kawasaki

The theatrical release Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya Incident Special Edition × Culling Game Advance Screening, opening November 7, 2025, has unveiled new promotional materials including the character visual for Naoya Zenin and two TV commercials featuring fresh footage from both story arcs.
Based on the manga by Gege Akutami that concluded its six-and-a-half-year run in Weekly Shonen Jump in September 2024, Jujutsu Kaisen has surpassed 100 million copies in circulation including digital editions. The anime adaptation premiered in October 2020 on MBS and TBS, followed by the theatrical film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in December 2021, which earned 26.5 billion yen at the global box office. The second season, covering the Hidden Inventory and Shibuya Incident arcs, aired from July to December 2023. The highly anticipated third season, Culling Game Part 1, is set to premiere in January 2026, with the compilation film Jujutsu Kaisen Hidden Inventory released in May 2025 and Jujutsu Kaisen 0 returning to theaters starting October 17, 2025.
The newly released TV commercials showcase distinct highlights from each arc. The Shibuya Incident spot uses the opening theme SPECIALZ by King Gnu, condensing the arc's most intense moments including Satoru Gojo's sealing, Ryomen Sukuna's domain expansion, and the climactic confrontation between Yuji Itadori and Mahito. The Culling Game commercial features newly animated sequences depicting the fierce battle between Yuji Itadori and Yuta Okkotsu, who share the same mentor, along with appearances by newly introduced character Naoya Zenin, Megumi Fushiguro, and Ryomen Sukuna. Both theme songs from Season 2, King Gnu's SPECIALZ and Hitsujibungaku's more than words, are featured in full versions throughout the theatrical release.
The character visual for Naoya Zenin marks his full introduction in the Culling Game Advance Screening. Following previously released visuals for Yuji Itadori, Yuta Okkotsu, Megumi Fushiguro, and Choso, this fifth character visual depicts Naoya with a cunning smile and calculating gaze. The visual will be displayed at select theaters and is featured on the movie ticket card Naoya version, which goes on sale October 24, 2025. The ticket is available as the final character in the series, joining the key visual version and individual character versions featuring Yuji, Yuta, Megumi, and Choso.
The theatrical release combines a special edited version of the Shibuya Incident arc with the world premiere of episodes 1 and 2 of the Culling Game arc ahead of the television broadcast. The entire film features audio remixed to 5.1ch surround sound optimized for theatrical presentation, directed by Shota Goshozono with series composition and screenplay by Hiroshi Seko. The Culling Game arc depicts the confrontation between protagonist Yuji Itadori and special grade sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu, who appears as an executioner targeting Yuji following the chaos unleashed by the deadliest sorcerer in history, Kenjaku. The battle brings one of the manga's most popular conflicts to the big screen as Japan becomes engulfed in ten barrier colonies known as the Culling Game.
Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya Incident Special Edition × Culling Game Advance Screening opens in theaters nationwide on November 7, 2025, with IMAX screenings also available and a sequential global release planned.
