The synopsis and advance stills for the first episode of Hyakuyōfu Season 3: Keishi-hen were released ahead of the season's October 7, 2026 broadcast start, Anime Anime reported. The episode is titled 「拈花(上)」, read Nenka and marked as a first part.
Episode 1 Synopsis
Tōyō and her companions arrive in Keishi, the capital, to continue their search for the lost Hyakuyōfu. Soon after they get there, Tōyō wins a large sum at a gambling house, only for a thief to steal it. A man named Fūmuraku catches the thief, and as he turns to leave, Tōyō sees the form of a certain yōkai behind him. The group recovers the money and sits down to a meal, but a disturbance breaks out at the establishment and Tōyō is carried off as a hostage.
The series, based on the novel of the same name, is set in China long ago and follows Tōyō, a doctor who specializes in treating yōkai. She sounds the gold bell on her wrist and listens to her patients' inner voices as she treats them.
Nao Toyama again voices Tōyō in the Japanese dub, with Ayumu Murase and Kengo Kawanishi also returning from the first two seasons. Kazuhiro Nakaya voices Fūmuraku.
