According to Japanese anime news site Anime Anime, the seals in this collection measure 12mm across, a size suited to everyday acknowledgment seals, and can be registered as an official bank seal at most financial institutions in Japan. The plain engraving option goes a step further: it also qualifies for registration as a jitsuin, the government-registered seal Japanese adults use for major contracts.
The materials back up that practical pitch. Buyers choose between tsuge boxwood, which the maker says grows more comfortable in the hand with use, and black water buffalo horn, prized for its jet-black finish and durability. Both are traditional ink-paste seals rather than self-inking novelties, so the sets work equally well as collection pieces or daily-use items.

Each set combines a seal with a special case carrying the school name and icon of one of six teams from the series: Karasuno High, Aoba Johsai High, Nekoma High, Shiratorizawa Academy, Fukurodani Academy, or Inarizaki High. The engraving itself comes in two styles. The standard design carves a surname or given name in a traditional layout, while the volleyball design sets the name inside a volleyball motif for something more playful. The Franchise Is Building Toward a Big 2027
Haruichi Furudate's volleyball manga ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, and the TV anime has been running since its 2014 debut. The theatrical film Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle opened on February 16, 2024, and went on to pass 20 billion yen (approx. $135 million) at the worldwide box office.
Two follow-up projects are set for 2027. Haikyu!! The Movie: VS The Little Giant, directed and written by Susumu Mitsunaka at Production I.G, adapts the Spring Tournament quarterfinal between Karasuno and Kamomedai. Alongside it, the TV special Haikyu!! Where the Monsters Go covers the clash between Fukurodani Academy and Mujinazaka High. Character goods tied to all of these schools have been arriving steadily in Japan, and this seal collection slots into that wave.
