Yamaguchi Finally Gets the Figure Treatment
The top three prizes put Karasuno's players on the shelf. Prize A is Shoyo Hinata, Prize B is Tobio Kageyama, and Prize C is Tadashi Yamaguchi. Each is sculpted with a team jacket slung over the shoulders and a crow at their side, a nod to the school's mascot. According to Japanese anime news site Anime Anime, the sculpts carry detail down to the fingertips and the wrinkles in the jackets, and the Yamaguchi piece is his first Ichiban Kuji figure.
Kei Tsukishima is in the lineup too, but nobody can draw him outright. His roughly 20cm (about 8 inches) figure is the Last One prize, which goes to whoever buys the final ticket at a given store. Ichiban Kuji is a win-every-time character lottery sold at Japanese convenience stores: every ticket pays out something, and the figures sit at the top of the prize ladder.
A Scoreboard Calendar and Acrylic Stands That Sit on Your Desk
The rest of the lineup draws on volleyball imagery. Prize E is a perpetual calendar styled after a scoreboard, about 27cm (10.6 inches) across. Prize G is a set of "sitting" acrylic stands in nine random designs, cut so the characters appear to perch on the edge of a desk.
Prize D offers acrylic boards with art drawn exclusively for this lottery, in two selectable designs: one gathers Karasuno's four first-years, the other its five upperclassmen. Prize F is a seven-piece plush mascot line with glitter embroidery stitched into the eyes. Rounding things out are die-cut memo pads featuring the series' distinctive T-shirts and icons (Prize H, seven selectable designs), acrylic charms capturing the personality of each school (Prize I, seven random designs), and clear file and sticker sets (Prize J, eleven selectable designs).
In-store sales began August 15, 2026 at Lawson convenience stores and Ichiban Kuji official shops, with online sales through Ichiban Kuji ONLINE opening September 7 at 11:00 a.m. JST. A Double Chance bonus drawing runs from launch through the end of November 2026.
The Franchise Behind the Crows
Haikyu!! is Haruichi Furudate's volleyball manga, serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2012 for eight and a half years. The series has more than 75 million copies in circulation, and its TV anime ran four seasons between 2014 and December 2020.
The franchise's biggest recent swing was Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle, the February 2024 film pitting Karasuno against longtime rivals Nekoma. It grossed over ¥20 billion (approx. $130 million) worldwide and took an excellence prize for animation at the Japan Academy Film Prize. The Anime Anime report frames this lottery as part of that ongoing momentum, timed to Haikyu Day, the fan holiday on August 19 whose date reads as "ha-i-kyu" in Japanese number wordplay.
Looking Ahead
The next window for this lottery is September 7, 2026, when online draws open; the Double Chance campaign then runs through the end of November. No international release for the kuji has been announced, so importing or proxy services remain the route for overseas collectors.
On the anime side, 2027 is stacked. The sequel film Haikyu!! The Movie: VS The Little Giant arrives in theaters, and the special anime Haikyu!! The Place Where Monsters Go is set for TV broadcast in Japan.
