Seven Designs, One Iconic Franchise

Coca-Cola Japan's premium green tea brand Ayataka is getting the Dragon Ball Z treatment. Seven bottle designs featuring characters including Goku, Vegeta, and Cell go on sale nationwide June 29, giving convenience store shelves across Japan a Dragon Ball makeover.

At participating stores, buying four Ayataka or Ayataka Café products earns a free Dragon Ball Z mesh-and-clear pouch. Supplies are limited, so that freebie is a first-come, first-served deal.

The Campaign: Collect Points, Win a Dragon Ball Speaker

From June 29 through October 11, Coca-Cola is running a points-based prize lottery tied to the 650ml bottles. Scanning the QR code on each bottle earns points through a dedicated campaign site.

The prize tiers:

  • 1 point enters a lottery for an original-design QUO prepaid card worth ¥1,000 (roughly $7).
  • 7 points enters a lottery for the headline prize: a wireless speaker shaped like a Dragon Ball.
  • A secondary "W-Chance" drawing awards 30 PayPay points.

Looking Ahead

The collaboration runs through October 11, 2026, giving fans a wide window to collect points. For international fans, this is a Japan-exclusive retail promotion with no announced availability outside the country. The Ayataka DBZ bottles are standard convenience store and supermarket items, making them easy pickups for anyone visiting Japan this summer.

Dragon Ball continues to be one of the most heavily licensed anime properties in Japan's food and beverage market. Earlier in 2026, the franchise partnered with udon chain Marugame Seimen for a similar promotion, and Coca-Cola Japan's campaign extends the brand's reach into everyday grocery runs.
