Every One of the 13 Diffusers Smells Like Wisteria
SHOLAYERED skipped the obvious route of giving each character an individual scent. Instead, the whole line runs on a single custom floral blend built around wisteria, the demon-repelling flower that doubles as the franchise's visual signature. According to Japanese anime news site Anime Anime, the fragrance is tuned to suggest the world of the show while staying subtle enough to sit in an ordinary living room.
The diffusers belong to THE FRAME, a series the brand started in 2026 under the concept of "framing a story in scent." SHOLAYERED itself is a Japanese fragrance house built on the idea of layering scents, and it has already released Demon Slayer fragrance tags in the same series, rolled out in waves that gradually added the Hashira. The diffusers are the newest addition, and each one pairs the shared wisteria scent with character-specific artwork meant to work as a display piece as much as a home fragrance.
The Lineup: The Core Four Plus All Nine Hashira
The 13-character selection breaks down neatly. Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira anchor the line, and every one of the nine Hashira joins them: Giyu Tomioka, Shinobu Kocho, Kyojuro Rengoku, Tengen Uzui, Mitsuri Kanroji, Muichiro Tokito, Sanemi Shinazugawa, Gyomei Himejima, and Obanai Iguro. Each diffuser is priced at 7,480 yen (roughly $50) and went on sale August 19, 2026 through SHOLAYERED's online store.
Koyoharu Gotouge's manga, about a boy who joins the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his demon-transformed sister back into a human, wrapped at 23 volumes under Shueisha and has passed 150 million copies in circulation. ufotable's anime adaptation has been running since April 2019 and is currently partway through the Infinity Castle theatrical trilogy.
Looking Ahead
The diffusers arrive during a busy stretch for the franchise in Japan. The trilogy's first film opened in Japanese theaters on July 18, 2025, and a full-series rebroadcast has been airing on Sunday mornings since April 5, 2026.
For fans outside Japan, options are more limited. The diffusers are listed on SHOLAYERED's Japanese online store, and the report doesn't mention any overseas release, so no word yet on international availability. The anime itself remains easy to reach, with the series streaming on Crunchyroll and the manga published in English by Viz Media.
