Obanai's Fried-Egg Eye and Kokushibo's Orange-Slice Stare
Joyfull, a family restaurant chain headquartered in Oita City with locations across Japan, kicked off its Demon Slayer collaboration on July 14, 2026. The chain now says fan response has been strong enough to justify two more rounds, announced in a release on the Japanese press-release service PR TIMES alongside seven new dishes. All prices below include tax.
The draw here is how literal the food styling gets. Round 3, running August 18 to September 8, adds three items:
- Obanai Iguro and Kaburamaru's tag-team plate (¥1,098): a demi-glace hamburg steak where a fried egg stands in for the Serpent Hashira's right eye, and a tornado-wrapped sausage plays his snake partner Kaburamaru.
- The Shinazugawa brothers' dessert plate (¥878): Sanemi's favorite ohagi (sweet red-bean rice cakes) in a Japanese-style dish, beside a Western-style watermelon dessert for Genya. Joyfull says the blueberry sauce represents the scars of the brothers' brutal past.
- Nakime's single-eye Napolitan (¥988): the demon's long hair rendered in Napolitan, Japan's ketchup-sauce spaghetti, with a fried egg and a fried whitefish fillet underneath as her hidden eye.
Round 4 takes over from September 8 to September 29 with four more:
- Inosuke Hashibira's tempura pork bowl (¥1,098): sweet-and-savory garlic soy sauce pork topped with a pile of his favorite tempura.
- Shinobu Kocho's Butterfly Dance grilled chicken salad (¥988): chicken and colorful vegetables arranged like a flower field full of butterflies, with garlic toast on the side.
- Gyomei Himejima's hamburg and pork steak combo (¥1,428): a teriyaki hamburg for the Stone Hashira's spiked iron ball and a mustard-sauce pork steak for his physique. The release notes this one contains nuts.
- Kokushibo's six-eyes tiramisu pancake (¥988): orange slices arranged as Upper Rank One's six eyes, with chocolate syrup and mixed berries suggesting his kimono and blade.
Six dishes from the first two rounds stay on sale through September 29, including Tanjiro and Giyu's hamburg-and-yakiniku combo (¥1,318), Rengoku's "umai, umai" ("delicious, delicious") beef hot pot bento (¥1,098), Tengen Uzui's spicy chicken nanban set (¥1,098), Nezuko's candy parfait (¥878), Muzan's black curry cheese-stuffed hamburg steak (¥1,098), and Akaza's three-item plate (¥1,098). That puts the full collab menu at 13 items.
220,000 Badges, 110,000 Pouches, and ufotable-Drawn Stickers
Every collab dish ordered during round 3 comes with a random can badge (56mm, 20 designs including one secret), capped at 220,000 badges across all participating stores. Round 4 swaps the badge for a drawstring pouch (110mm x 140mm, again 20 designs with one secret), capped at 110,000. Takeout and delivery orders count too, and designs can't be chosen.
On top of that, Joyfull is handing out puffy stickers featuring art drawn by ufotable, the studio behind the anime, at a rate of one sticker per ¥2,000 spent on an order that includes a collab dish. The stickers are limited to 50,000, start going out August 18, and you'll need to ask for one at the register. Stores also get capsule toy machines stocked with original items (some locations excluded) and a commemorative character panel near the entrance, with designs assigned to stores at random.
The digital side is busy as well. The official Joyfull app runs a visit-stamp gacha where winners get limited character stamp designs, and campaigns on X and Instagram will raffle off goods featuring newly drawn art.
For the most committed fans, there's an online-order-only party platter. The Demon Slayer Original Hors d'Oeuvre II (¥4,318) bundles the Giyu, Obanai, Gyomei, and Akaza mains with a salad and three bonus items; reserving early, by August 17, drops the price to ¥3,886 and bumps the bonus items to five. A version that adds an exclusive donburi lunch box (¥5,398) is limited to 5,000 units across the entire campaign, with reservations open through August 30.
Looking Ahead
Round 3 starts August 18 at 3:00 p.m., round 4 begins September 8, and the whole campaign wraps September 29 at 3:00 p.m. The badges and pouches are gone once stocks run out, and stores that have exhausted their supply will post a notice at the entrance, so going early is the safer play.
This is a Japan-only campaign with no international component announced. The anime itself is easier to reach from abroad: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, the first of ufotable's film trilogy, arrived on Crunchyroll and digital storefronts on July 28, 2026, according to the film's official English site. Koyoharu Gotouge's original manga is published in English by Viz Media.
