Yuki Kaji, Yui Ishikawa and Marina Inoue, who voice Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert, looked back on the completed Attack on Titan anime in official interviews, ORICON NEWS reported on October 21, 2026. The interviews mark the SCREENX, 4DX and ULTRA 4DX screenings of Attack on Titan The Movie: Crimson Bow and Arrow, which begin in Japanese theaters on October 23. The full interviews are on the official website.
The film is the first half of a two-part theatrical edit of all 25 Season 1 episodes and was first released in 2014. According to the official Attack on Titan website, this run is the first time the series has screened in SCREENX.
Each interview began with what the actor had said in the film's original program booklet 12 years ago. Kaji said his reading of Eren back then can't compare to how he sees him now that the story is finished. Still, he said the traits he named 12 years ago remain part of the character, whom he called "more foolish than anyone, more human than anyone, an ordinary deviant" (translated). His most memorable scene is the one near the end of the film where "Fight" is repeated again and again, and he said he still remembers the recording session clearly. For fans who know the ending, he suggested rewatching the film to check foreshadowing payoffs and their own theories.
Ishikawa said Mikasa could stay strong because Eren was her guiding light. She urged newcomers to go in knowing nothing and to savor experiencing the story for the first time in a theater.
Inoue said her approach to Armin had changed somewhat. She called him very brave and said he often had to set aside part of his humanity in pursuit of the best solution. Her message to first-time viewers was that the series will change their lives, with a playful warning to watch it while feeling emotionally well.
