Completing the ARIA Vinyl Trilogy
Following the December 2025 release of ARIA The ANIMATION's vinyl soundtrack, FlyingDog is bringing the remaining two TV seasons' scores to wax. Comic Natalie reports that both releases — titled "ARIA The NATURAL ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK due -vinyl edition-" and "ARIA The ORIGINATION ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK tre -vinyl edition-" — will drop simultaneously on September 2, 2026.
The music, composed by Choro Club feat. Senoo, is inseparable from ARIA's identity. Takeshi Senoo and the acoustic ensemble built one of anime's most distinctive soundscapes across the series' three-season run at Hal Film Maker, blending bossa nova, acoustic guitar, and ambient textures into scores that feel as warm and unhurried as Neo-Venezia itself.
Color Vinyl and a Collector's Box
Like the first vinyl edition, both new releases are pressed on colored vinyl for the initial run — and the color choices pull directly from the show's world.
ARIA The NATURAL's two-disc set comes in Clear Deep Blue, representing the ARIA Company, and Clear Red for Himeya. ARIA The ORIGINATION gets Clear Lime Yellow for Orange Planet and Clear Orange evoking a Neo-Venezia sunset. All four colors are first-press exclusives.
The ORIGINATION release also has a limited first edition that includes a storage box featuring a newly drawn illustration by original manga creator Kozue Amano. The artwork depicts protagonist Akari Mizunashi and President Aria in a sunlit room, with light from Neo-Venezia streaming through a gap in the curtains. The box is sized to hold all three vinyl soundtrack releases together — a small but satisfying detail for collectors who picked up the ANIMATION vinyl last year.
Jacket artwork for both new releases uses the original illustrations from the CD-era soundtrack covers, matching the approach taken with the first vinyl edition.
Retailer Bonuses
HMV stores, HMV&BOOKS online, Animate stores, and Animate's online shop will each offer exclusive purchase bonuses. Customers who pre-order through HMV record shop locations in Shibuya, Shinjuku, Kichijoji, or Shinsaibashi will receive an additional bonus on a first-come, first-served basis. Specific bonus details haven't been announced yet.
Looking Ahead
The September 2 release completes the vinyl trilogy for ARIA's TV soundtracks, timed to ride the momentum of the series' 20th anniversary celebrations that kicked off in 2025. For international fans, the vinyl editions are Japan-exclusive releases, but import-friendly retailers like Animate International offer global shipping.
The ARIA anime itself — all three TV seasons plus the later film trilogy — streams on Crunchyroll for international subscribers. The source manga by Kozue Amano has been published in English by Tokyopop (now out of print), with secondhand copies still circulating.
No word yet on whether FlyingDog plans vinyl editions for the later film soundtracks (ARIA The AVVENIRE, The CREPUSCOLO, The BENEDIZIONE), but completing the TV trilogy first was the obvious move.
