The Logo Itself Becomes the Collectible
Bandai's Acrylic Logo Display EX line is built on a simple pitch, summed up by its official tagline: "Display the logo. Display with the logo." Instead of a character, each piece reproduces a series' title logo in acrylic cut thicker than a standard acrylic stand and given a surface finish meant to read as a premium display piece. The line has already covered tokusatsu, robot shows, anime, comics, Western films, and music artists, and The Apothecary Diaries is the newest addition, according to a report from Japanese anime news site Anime Anime.
The use case is flexible by design. Bandai suggests standing the logo on its own or slotting it in beside the figures and character acrylic stands you already own. In other words, the Maomao and Jinshi shelf you've been building finally gets proper signage.
Two Versions, ¥1,650, Shipping in October
The release comes in two layouts taken from the title logo: a horizontal version at roughly 10.5 cm wide by 2.5 cm tall, and a vertical version at roughly 3 cm wide by 8 cm tall. Both are made of acrylic and priced at ¥1,650 (about $11), tax included, with shipping and handling billed separately.
Pre-orders opened at noon JST on August 10, 2026, at Bankore!, the character-goods shop inside Bandai's Premium Bandai web store, and are live now. Shipping is planned for October 2026, the same month Season 3 starts airing.
A Busy Fall for The Apothecary Diaries
Natsu Hyuuga's pharmacist-detective saga has passed 45 million copies in circulation across the series. The TV anime that launched in October 2023 turned Maomao's sharp-tongued sleuthing, grounded mystery plotting, and imperial-court human drama into a hit with viewers well beyond the core anime crowd in Japan.
The franchise announced its next phase on October 22, 2025, the broadcast's second anniversary: a third TV season and the series' first theatrical film. Season 3 begins in October 2026 as a split-cour run, and Anime News Network reports the second half arrives in April 2027. The film, titled in English as The Apothecary Diaries: The Deceased Empress' Treasure, opens in Japanese theaters on December 11, 2026, with Aoi Yūki and Takeo Ōtsuka returning as Maomao and Jinshi.
Looking Ahead
Pre-orders are open now at Bankore!, with shipping set for October 2026. The announcement doesn't say anything about international availability, so overseas collectors may need a proxy shopping service for this one.
As for the anime itself, international fans have plenty on the calendar: Season 3 premieres in October 2026, its second cour follows in April 2027, and the film hits Japanese theaters on December 11, 2026. TOHO animation has already posted the film's official trailer on its YouTube channel, and the TV series is available to stream on Netflix.
