A Birthday Photo Shoot, Dispensed by a Copy Machine

Wit Studio is selling the ≪Erwin Birthday Photo≫ set through the e-Print Service, which turns the multi-function copy machines inside Japanese convenience stores into a counter for licensed anime and entertainment prints. You walk up to the machine, enter the content number or scan a QR code, pay, and the image comes out on photo paper. An L-size print costs ¥200 and a 2L-size print costs ¥300, both tax included. L is the standard Japanese snapshot format at 89 by 127 millimeters, and 2L doubles it to 127 by 178 millimeters.

The content goes live at 10:00 a.m. on October 14, 2026, Erwin's birthday in the series, and stays in the machines until 11:59 p.m. on October 14, 2027. Wit's announcement lists 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, Lawson, Ministop and Poplar as participating chains, while the e-Print Service listing for the Erwin photos also names Daily Yamazaki and Seicomart. Both pages note that individual stores may be excluded.

Wit frames the images as a fresh shoot rather than recycled stills. The studio's own copy points to a sharp, level gaze and a quiet stance, and pitches the set as Erwin's adult composure caught in single moments. Wit does not say how many variants are in the lineup.

Wit Studio Is Not Done With Attack on Titan

Wit animated Attack on Titan Seasons 1 through 3, adapting Hajime Isayama's manga, which ran in Kodansha's monthly Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from 2009 to 2021. MAPPA handled The Final Season after that, which leaves Wit's merchandise line as the outlet for art from the seasons it animated: the Survey Corps commander whose cavalry charge against the Beast Titan closes out Season 3 belongs to Wit's run on the show.

Erwin is not the first character to get this treatment either. Wit put an ≪Eren Birthday Photo≫ into the same service starting March 30, 2026, Eren Yeager's birthday, at identical prices and with the same one-year sales window. The studio has also been running a monthly newly drawn Attack on Titan illustration project with Kyōji Asano, the character designer on all three of its seasons, so the convenience store prints are part of an ongoing line of studio-made goods rather than a one-off.

Looking Ahead

All of this is domestic. The e-Print Service runs on hardware installed in Japanese convenience stores, and neither the Wit announcement post nor the product page mentions overseas ordering or shipping, so international fans need someone in Japan or a forwarding service to get a copy. The one-year window at least takes the time pressure off, since the files stay printable through October 14, 2027. No other character birthdays have been announced for the service.

Readers who would rather have the story than the merchandise can get it in English: Kodansha USA publishes Isayama's manga in full, all 34 volumes, and the Wit-produced seasons stream in North America on Crunchyroll, Netflix and Hulu.
