A TV anime adaptation of the LINE Manga webtoon Teenage Mercenary (入学傭兵) will air in 2027, Sanyo Shimbun reported on October 9, 2026. A teaser visual and an announcement video were released with the news.
Manabu Ono is directing and handling series composition, Kōji Haneda is the character designer, Hiroyuki Sawano is composing the music, and J.C.STAFF is producing the animation.
The story follows Sōma Tatewaki, a former mercenary who is now a high school student, as he fights for his family and friends and to protect the life he leads now from old scores. The webtoon is written by YC and drawn by rakhyun, and it runs on LINE Manga.
A PR TIMES release on the anime says the webtoon's cumulative views in Japan have passed 940 million as of October 2026. It also says the series is distributed in 10 languages and that cumulative global views topped 2.84 billion as of September 2026.
