Recapture Arc Starts August 12
Re:Zero's 4th season adapts Tappei Nagatsuki's isekai light novel about Natsuki Subaru, a young man who loops through death to protect the people he loves in another world. The Loss Arc closed out its full 11-episode run on June 17, and the Recapture Arc key visual landed the same night, per Japanese entertainment news site Comic Natalie. The second half runs 8 episodes beginning August 12 across 21 broadcast stations in Japan, with White Fox continuing as the animation studio under director Masaharu Shinohara.
Starting next week, a two-part special program filmed at the Tottori Sand Dunes will air over consecutive weeks. Yusuke Kobayashi (Subaru), Rie Takahashi (Emilia), and Takuya Eguchi (Julius) appear in the segment, looking back on the Loss Arc while exploring the region. The special ties into an ongoing collaboration campaign between the anime and Tottori Prefecture.
"Stay Alive" Returns After 10 Years
The Loss Arc finale also debuted a singing video for "Stay Alive Regain," performed by Takahashi as Emilia. The original "Stay Alive" served as the 1st season's second ending theme in 2016, making this version a ten-year callback.
Takahashi described the recording in a comment released alongside the video. She kept the song's original emotional core intact, she said, but wrapping it in the warmth Emilia carries now turned it into something that felt like it stayed by Subaru's side. She called the new version "a song of encouragement heading into the Recapture Arc."
Starlight Party Gathers 12 Cast Members
Details also dropped for the series' 10th anniversary celebration. "Re:Zero 10th Event: Starlight Party" will run two sessions (matinee and evening) on November 14, 2026 at Tachikawa Stage Garden in Tokyo. Doors open at 12:30 for the matinee and 17:30 for the evening show.
All 12 confirmed cast: Yusuke Kobayashi (Subaru), Rie Takahashi (Emilia), Yumi Uchiyama (Puck), Rie Murakawa (Ram), Inori Minase (Rem), Satomi Arai (Beatrice), Kōhei Amasaki (Otto), Nobuhiko Okamoto (Garfiel), Kana Ueda (Anastasia), Takuya Eguchi (Julius), Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Petelgeuse), and Chika Anzai (Sirius). Theme song artist Konomi Suzuki and MYTH & ROID round out the performer lineup.

The Recapture Arc premieres August 12 on Japanese television. Crunchyroll streams Re:Zero internationally across North America, Europe, Latin America, Oceania, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia with same-day subtitles and an English dub. The source light novel by Tappei Nagatsuki is published in English by Yen Press, and the manga adaptation is also available from the same publisher.
