Rie Takahashi Sings 'Stay Alive' Again After a Decade
The 4th season's 11th episode (episode 77 overall) featured the insert song "Stay Alive Regain," bringing Rie Takahashi (Megumin in KonoSuba, Mash Kyrielight in Fate/Grand Order) back behind the microphone as Emilia for the first time since the show's 1st season. A special studio singing video released by the official Re:ZERO channel captures the recording session.
In an official comment, Takahashi described the experience of revisiting the song after ten years: "Keeping the emotions the original song carried intact, I wrapped it in the warmth Emilia holds now. Strangely, it felt like it became a song that stays close to Subaru."
She called the new version "a cheer song heading into the Recapture Arc" and encouraged fans to enjoy it. The episode title also uses 始まる (hajimaru, "begins on its own") instead of the series title's usual 始める (hajimeru, "to start"), a verb swap from transitive to intransitive.
The Recapture Arc Starts August 12
The newly revealed key visual marks the transition into the Recapture Arc, the second half of Re:ZERO's 4th season. Following the Loss Arc's 11 episodes, the Recapture Arc runs 8 episodes beginning August 12, 2026, across 21 broadcast stations in Japan.
Re:ZERO, animated by WHITE FOX (Steins;Gate), adapts Tappei Nagatsuki's light novel series. The story follows Natsuki Subaru, a boy transported to a fantasy world where he wields the power of "Return by Death," rewinding time each time he dies to fight against a brutal fate. The original web novel began on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in April 2012, with KADOKAWA's MF Bunko J imprint publishing print editions since January 2014. The franchise has passed 16 million copies in circulation worldwide.
Masahiro Shinohara directs the 4th season, with Masahiro Yokotani handling series composition.
A special TV program, "Re:ZERO 4th Season Loss Arc Completion Special! in Tottori Sand Dunes," recorded with cooperation from Tottori Prefecture (currently running a collaboration campaign with the series), will air over two weeks starting next week.
10th Anniversary Starlight Party
The franchise's 10th anniversary celebrations continue with the largest cast gathering in the series' history. Titled "Re:ZERO 10th Event: Starlight Party," the live event takes place on November 14, 2026, at Tachikawa Stage Garden, with a matinee show (doors 12:30 PM, start 1:30 PM) and an evening show (doors 5:30 PM, start 6:30 PM).
Twelve cast members spanning all four seasons will appear: Yūsuke Kobayashi (Subaru), Rie Takahashi (Emilia), Inori Minase (Rem), Rie Murakawa (Ram), Satomi Arai (Beatrice), Yūmi Uchiyama (Pack), Kōhei Amasaki (Otto), Nobuhiko Okamoto (Garfiel), Kana Ueda (Anastasia), Takuya Eguchi (Julius), Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Petelgeuse), and Chika Anzai (Sirius). 4th season opening theme artist Konomi Suzuki and ending theme group MYTH & ROID complete the lineup.
Tickets range from ¥9,900 for general seating to ¥14,900 for premium seats with merchandise (all tax included). Premium tickets guarantee front-of-arena placement.
Looking Ahead
The Recapture Arc begins August 12 on 21 Japanese stations. Crunchyroll streams the series internationally with a same-day English dub, so overseas fans can follow along without delay. Yen Press publishes the English-language light novels, with the source material well ahead of the anime's current arc.
The Starlight Party event on November 14 caps the 10th anniversary celebration. Ticket sale details are expected on the official site in the coming weeks.
