Kimono, Bangasa and a Chibi Retro Wardrobe
Two newly drawn illustration sets anchor the collaboration, and the merchandise list splits between them.
The first puts the cast in kimono holding bangasa, the oiled-paper umbrellas that go with traditional Japanese dress. That set covers most of the lineup: trading glitter can badges, trading Ani-Frames, trading bromides, trading acrylic stands, trading acrylic cards, BIG acrylic stands, an extra-large acrylic stand, BIG acrylic keychains in five designs, multi desk mats, and life-size tapestries in three designs.
The second set goes chibi, dressing the characters in retro Western clothing. It covers trading glitter can badges in 16 designs, plus acrylic keychains, acrylic stands and die-cut stickers.
Everything at the pop-up shop is an advance release, going on sale in Asakusa ahead of the general release. Some items also carry a box-purchase bonus, and every 2,000 yen spent on event goods in a single transaction earns one random postcard out of 10 designs.
The Shopping Street Is the Venue
This is not a single booth in a department store. The event spreads across Okuyama Omairimachi and the Asakusa Nishi-Sando Shopping Street, two shopping lanes in the Sensoji temple district of Asakusa, and decorations go up throughout both. Character panels using the newly drawn illustrations and tall nobori banners will line points along the two streets.
The perks reward spending at the participating shops. A single purchase of 1,000 yen or more (tax included) earns one random business-card-sized collector card out of five designs, handed out on a first-come basis. A stamp rally kit will also be sold; collect every stamp, report in at the pop-up shop, and you get an A4 clear file featuring a newly drawn group illustration.
According to Japanese anime news site Anime Anime's report on the event, the aim is to bring the shopping streets to life with a range of tie-in activities rather than simply park a merch counter there.
Where Re:Zero Stands Right Now
The event runs while the anime is on the air. The 4th season's Recapture Arc has been airing since August, animated at WHITE FOX under director Masahiro Shinohara, and it forms the back half of a season that opened with the Loss Arc in April.
The anime adapts Tappei Nagatsuki's light novel series, which began on the user-submission site Shosetsuka ni Naro in April 2012 and moved to print under KADOKAWA's MF Bunko J imprint in January 2014. It follows Subaru Natsuki, a boy dropped into another world with no warning, who fights his way through a brutal fate using Return by Death, a power that rewinds time each time he dies. Worldwide circulation for the series, digital included, has passed 16 million copies.
Looking Ahead
The Re:Zero POP UP STREET opens on Friday, October 2, 2026 and runs through Sunday, October 25, across Okuyama Omairimachi, the Asakusa Nishi-Sando Shopping Street and other locations. Full details, including the participating shop list and the complete goods lineup, are on the official event page hosted by anime goods retailer AMNIBUS.
This is a Japan-only, in-person event, so overseas fans without a Tokyo trip planned miss the advance sales window. The source doesn't say whether the kimono or chibi goods will be offered online after the run ends, which is how a lot of AMNIBUS merchandise eventually surfaces.
The anime itself is easier to reach. Season 4 streams on Crunchyroll with an English dub, so the Recapture Arc episodes airing alongside the event are available same-week internationally. The light novels are published in English by Yen Press, which is well past volume 25 and also releases the short story collections.
