The PSYREN television anime airs its third episode, "PSI," on Monday, October 19, 2026, with world-famous pianist Matsuri Yagumo, voiced by Yuhko Kaida, appearing as a new character, according to an at-s report.
In the episode, Hiryu Asaga takes a weakened Sakurako Amemiya and heads for the goal, only for a Taboo to block their path, the official episode synopsis says. Amemiya wakes at that point and turns PSI on the creature. The at-s report adds that Ageha Yoshina's strike pierces the Taboo's weak spot and the group reaches the goal. Ageha and Hiryu are then called to the place where Matsuri Yagumo is waiting, and she begins telling them about Psyren. The same report describes PSI as a psychic power produced by hyper-awakening the brain.
The series premiered October 5, 2026. TOKYO MX and BS11 carry it Mondays at 23:00 JST, Sun-TV Mondays at 24:00 and Mie TV Wednesdays at 24:20, with the Mie TV run starting October 7. Streaming began October 5 at 23:30 JST and rolls out in sequence on services including ABEMA, Amazon Prime Video, d Anime Store, Hulu, Lemino and U-NEXT, per the anime's official broadcast page.
The anime adapts Toshiaki Iwashiro's psychic-battle suspense manga, serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from 2008 to 2010.
