The synopsis and advance stills for episode 2 of the PSYREN TV anime arrived on October 12, 2026, the day the episode aired at 23:00 JST on TOKYO MX and BS11, according to an Otaku Souken report republished by Yahoo! News. The episode's Japanese title is 禁人種【タヴー】, listed as CALL.2 "Taboo" on the anime's official global site.
In the synopsis, Ageha Yoshina and Sakurako Amemiya reunite inside the Psyren world, but Amemiya loses consciousness from exhaustion. Ageha then runs into a group of people gathered in a ruin: participants in the Psyren game drawn by the large reward money attached to solving Psyren's mystery. Only Hiryu Asaga is there for another reason, searching for a missing friend named Tatsuo.
A voice then resounds in everyone's mind, promising everything in the world to whoever reaches Psyren and telling the listeners to find the gate. Ageha warns that there are monsters outside, but the crowd, driven by greed, ignores him and heads out one after another. He follows to help, and the monsters kill them one by one.
