Zoro and Ace Hit the Hardwood

The draw here is the artwork. According to Japanese anime news site Anime! Anime!, the shirts feature One Piece characters in original illustrations drawn for this collaboration, with Roronoa Zoro and Portgas D. Ace shown going up for dunks. The designs are exclusive to this line, so you won't see them on any other product.

The lineup runs seven designs in total, each built around a popular character from the series, and every design comes in both white and black. That works out to 14 shirt variations across the collection.

The Ordering Details

Preorders opened on May 27, 2026 through Bandai's official online store Premium Bandai and close Sunday, July 12 at 11:00 p.m. Japan time. Each shirt costs 6,600 yen (about $45), tax included, and orders are scheduled to ship in September 2026.

The shirts are 100 percent cotton and come in five sizes from S through XXL, with a fit spanning a 67 cm body length at the small end to 78 cm at XXL. The ONE PIECE × NBA tote bag is sold separately, not bundled with the shirts.

One Piece's Crowded 2026

The collaboration lands in the middle of a busy year for the franchise. Eiichiro Oda's manga, serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump since July 1997, passed 600 million copies in circulation worldwide as of March 4, 2026. That splits into more than 450 million copies in Japan and over 150 million overseas.

The print numbers have been record-setting for a long time. Volume 57's 3 million-copy first printing set a Japanese publishing record back in March 2010, and volume 67 pushed the series' own mark to 4.05 million in August 2012.

On screens, the TV anime has been airing the Elbaph arc on Fuji TV since April 2026, while Netflix's live-action adaptation started streaming its second season worldwide in March 2026. An NBA crossover makes sense for a franchise that is currently everywhere at once.

Looking Ahead

Preorders close July 12 at 11:00 p.m. JST, and shirts ship to buyers in September 2026. The listing is on Premium Bandai's Japanese storefront, and the source doesn't say whether the line will also be offered through Premium Bandai's international stores, so overseas fans may need a proxy shipping service to get in before the deadline.

For everything else One Piece, the Elbaph arc is airing now in Japan and the Netflix live-action series has season 2 streaming worldwide.
