A Planner Built Like an Issue of ONE PIECE magazine
Japanese stationery brand Hobonichi built the 2027 planner with ONE PIECE magazine, the Shueisha spin-off publication devoted to exploring the manga in depth. The book keeps the format the Hobonichi Techo is known for: A6 size, one page per day, a full year in a single volume. Hobonichi rebuilds the contents each year, and this time they borrow the magazine's own structure.
Each of the twelve months gets its own angle, modeled on the way ONE PIECE magazine frames a feature. The daily quotes match that angle, all of them drawn from volumes 1 through 113. Every month opens on a title page carrying the theme and a piece of manga artwork. Character birthdays are marked through the year.
Two things are new. The December pages carry words from series creator Eiichiro Oda, which Hobonichi is billing as a first for the collaboration. Hobonichi has also built out the back matter with a timeline that lays the story out end to end, plus a blank wanted poster you can fill in yourself.
The series gives that selection plenty to draw on. One Piece began in Weekly Shonen Jump issue 34, on sale July 22, 1997, cleared 25 years of serialization in July 2022, and had passed 600 million copies in circulation worldwide as of March 4, 2026.
Chapter 1000 Rough Drafts and an Embroidered Going Merry
Two cover designs headline the range, each offered in A6 and A5.
"Episode 1000" prints the storyboard pages for chapter 1000, from volume 99, directly onto the cover. That is the rough layout draft Japanese manga production calls a "name." A transparent cover-on-cover printed with the finished artwork from the same chapter goes over the top, so you can see the page in draft and in final form at once. "Going Merry go!" takes a different route, rendering the Going Merry under full sail in fine embroidery. Both run ¥5,390 for the A6 version and ¥6,490 for A5, roughly $36 and $44.
The hardcover HON (A6, one page per day) and the Weeks weekly planner share a design called "VERY VERY MERRY!", built on bright orange necktie material. Because 2027 is the Year of the Sheep, the weave takes the Going Merry as its motif, working in the ship's figurehead, its pirate flag, the mast and the tangerine tree. HON's interior pages are the One Piece special edition; Weeks uses Hobonichi's standard contents.
Stickers, Pencil Boards and an Imu Sticky Note
The stationery in the lineup is sized to slot into the planner itself. Clear folders and pencil boards carry "Everyday scenes" panels lifted from the manga. The pencil boards come in Original, Cousin and Weeks sizes, and the clear folders are sold as an Original-size three-pack for ¥880.
The sticker set, called "DAILY & SUPER!!!", collects famous panels featuring the Straw Hat crew and characters from across the series (¥770). There is also a set of sticky notes built around Imu, the figure the manga still keeps almost entirely in shadow (¥500). Rounding out the range is the Small Drawer Pouch "DON!" (¥5,280), cut from the same necktie material and scattered with key items from the world of One Piece.
Looking Ahead
Sales open October 1, 2026 at 11 a.m. Japan time. According to Anime Anime's rundown of the lineup, the range goes on sale through the Hobonichi online store, the Hobonichi Techo Store at Tokyo Station, Hobonichi's own TOBICHI shops in Tokyo and Kyoto, branches of the Japanese variety and stationery chain Loft nationwide, Amazon and Rakuten.
Overseas buyers have an option as well. Hobonichi's English store lists the full One Piece range and ships overseas, and there is an English Weeks "Very Very Merry!" with English-language contents at ¥3,630. The Japanese Original Book runs ¥3,410. The English product pages also flag Amazon listings for the US, UK and Germany.
As for the series itself, the TV anime has been running on Fuji TV since 1999 and began the Elbaf arc in April 2026. Netflix's live-action adaptation has two seasons streaming, with season 3 scheduled for 2027.
