A Fabric Coat, Four Faces and a Lot of Magma
The headline feature is the Magu Magu no Mi (Magma-Magma Fruit). According to a report from Japanese anime news site Anime Anime, the set bundles a large number of option parts to recreate Sakazuki's Logia powers, on top of a wide range of articulation built for his fight poses.
The official Tamashii Web listing spells out what that means in practice. The figure stands about 200 mm tall and comes with three pairs of interchangeable hands, four interchangeable face parts, a pair of magma-covered hands and a full set of magma-effect replacement arms. The Navy coat draped over his shoulders is mostly fabric, with plastic used for the gold trim and cuffs, so the coat can be posed mid-swing without fighting the joints.
S.H.Figuarts is Bandai Spirits' premium articulated figure line, and this one is a Tamashii Web Shop exclusive, meaning it sells through Bandai Spirits' own collector store rather than general retail in Japan.
The Ace Kill Shot, Sold Separately
The part most Marineford fans will zero in on is the one that isn't for Akainu at all. The set includes a magma-effect arm designed for the separately sold S.H.Figuarts Portgas D. Ace -Marineford-, so collectors who own both can stage the moment where Sakazuki's fist goes through Ace. The Anime Anime piece flags this dedicated effect part specifically.
The listing also throws in a bonus face part for the S.H.Figuarts Monkey D. Luffy -Marineford- figure. Between Luffy, Ace and now Akainu, the line has the three central figures of that scene covered.
Who Sakazuki Is Right Now
The Anime Anime piece also recaps who Sakazuki is. He is a former Navy admiral who uses the Magu Magu no Mi to control magma and who has zero tolerance for anything he classifies as evil. That includes pirates, but it also extends to Navy personnel who stray from his personal definition of justice.
In the story's timeline, the Marineford war took place two years ago. After his fight with Whitebeard, Sakazuki relentlessly pursued Luffy. He has since beaten Kuzan (Aokiji) in a duel and been promoted to Fleet Admiral, the top job in the Navy. The figure freezes him at the earlier, admiral-era point.
The article also runs down the franchise numbers. Eiichiro Oda's manga began in Weekly Shonen Jump issue 34 on July 22, 1997, passed its 25th anniversary in July 2022, and had topped 600 million copies in worldwide circulation as of March 4, 2026. Toei Animation's TV anime has aired on Fuji TV since 1999 and entered the Elbaf arc in April 2026.
Looking Ahead
Preorders for S.H.Figuarts Sakazuki (Akainu) -Marineford- opened at 4 p.m. JST on September 18, 2026. The figure is priced at ¥16,500 including tax and is scheduled to ship in March 2027. It is a Tamashii Web Shop item in Japan, and US import shops such as Kappa Hobby and USA Gundam Store have already listed it for overseas buyers.
For the anime itself, the Elbaf arc streams on Crunchyroll, with new episodes arriving on Sundays, and hits Netflix in select regions about a week later. The Netflix live-action series has released two seasons, with season 3 slated for 2027. The manga is published in English by Viz Media.
