The official site lists the project under the provisional title Ghost in the Shell (攻殻機動隊（仮）). An announcement visual was released with the news, ORICON NEWS reports.
The announcement was made as a surprise on flyers handed out to attendees ahead of OPEN HOUSE, a public event scheduled for October 24 at Dover Street Market Ginza in Tokyo, according to a news report. The announcement did not reveal the title, format, or release or broadcast timing.
The official site says further updates will be shared through Bandai Namco Filmworks' official social media accounts and other channels.
