Deku, Bakugo, and All Might Land on Candy Shelves

Kabaya Foods is pairing its chewy Tough Gummy brand with one of the biggest anime franchises in the world. Anime Anime reported that four limited-edition My Hero Academia package designs will roll out to stores nationwide starting June 8, with a tagline that leans into the crossover: "Bouncing deliciousness — your power," a play on the candy's springy texture and MHA's themes of pushing beyond your limits.

The standard Tough Gummy — a three-flavor assortment of cola, energy drink, and soda — comes in two designs. One features the core trio of Deku, Bakugo, and All Might, while the other pairs Todoroki with his father Endeavor. The Tough Gummy Grapey Punch grape variant gets two designs of its own: Aizawa and Shinso share one package, while Mineta — whose Quirk "Pop Off" produces grape-like spheres — gets a solo spotlight on the other. It's a clever bit of character-flavor matchmaking.

A Prize Campaign for the Committed Snacker

Starting June 23, Kabaya is running a sweepstakes campaign tied to the entire Tough Gummy product line. Fans who spend at least ¥300 (tax included) on any Tough Gummy product can upload their receipt to the campaign site — accessed through Kabaya's official LINE account — for a chance to win one of 500 collab package keychains (Prize A). Spend ¥600 or more and you're entered for one of 100 collab bath towels (Prize B).

Receipts from purchases made as early as June 9 count, and the campaign runs through August 31, 2026.

MHA's 10th Anniversary Rolls On

The collab arrives during an active stretch for the franchise. Kohei Horikoshi's original manga ran for a decade in Weekly Shonen Jump and has surpassed 100 million copies in circulation worldwide. The anime wrapped its Final Season in 2025 after eight seasons and 170 episodes, plus four theatrical films — and the Final Season took home Anime of the Year at the 2026 Crunchyroll Anime Awards.

The 10th anniversary project "My Hero Academia The Animation 10th Anniversary" launched in April 2026. A special episode adapting the bonus chapter from the manga's final volume, No.170+1 "More," aired in May, and a new short anime titled "I am a hero too" — based on a one-shot from the official fan book — is confirmed for release this summer.

Looking Ahead

The Tough Gummy collab packaging hits shelves across Japan on June 8, 2026, with the prize campaign following on June 23. These are Japan-exclusive products with no announced international availability. For fans outside Japan who want to engage with the franchise's 10th anniversary, the special episode No.170+1 "More" is available on Crunchyroll, which streams the full My Hero Academia series internationally. The upcoming "I am a hero too" short anime is expected this summer, though international streaming details haven't been confirmed yet.
