Class 1-A's Deep Bench Finally Gets the Merch Treatment

Three waves into Sync Innovation's POTEmocho series, the series covered the obvious picks: Midoriya, Bakugo, Todoroki, Uraraka, and the rest of My Hero Academia's frontline roster. Wave 4, which went up for pre-order on the VIVIT storefront today, turns its attention to the characters who don't usually land on a keychain.

Yuga Aoyama, Mezo Shoji, Mashirao Ojiro, Toru Hagakure, and Koji Koda make up the Wave 4 lineup. Fans who've watched these five fill out the background of Class 1-A scenes for years finally get to rep the deep cuts. Aoyama in particular has grown into a far more significant character since the later arcs of Kohei Horikoshi's manga, making his inclusion here feel overdue.

What's in the POTEmocho Line

POTEmocho is Sync Innovation's 2D collectible brand, built around a chibi art style applied to acrylic goods. The product range for Wave 4 includes:

  • Star-shaped tin badges (75mm)
  • Round tin badges (57mm)
  • Acrylic stands
  • Acrylic keychains
  • Pass cases and flat pouches

All items are sold exclusively through Sync Innovation's VIVIT online store. The Nagoya-based company specializes in anime and character merchandise, and the POTEmocho line has also expanded beyond My Hero Academia into Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia: Vigilantes goods.

Pre-orders opened June 24, 2026 at noon JST, with shipping scheduled for mid-September 2026. The press release confirms that additional waves beyond Wave 4 are already planned.

The Full Wave Roster So Far

Sync Innovation has been steadily working through Class 1-A's 20-student roster across the POTEmocho campaign:

  • Wave 1: Izuku Midoriya, Ochaco Uraraka, Tenya Iida, Tsuyu Asui, Minoru Mineta
  • Wave 2: Katsuki Bakugo, Eijiro Kirishima, Denki Kaminari, Kyoka Jiro, Mina Ashido
  • Wave 3: Shoto Todoroki, Momo Yaoyorozu, and others
  • Wave 4: Yuga Aoyama, Mezo Shoji, Mashirao Ojiro, Toru Hagakure, Koji Koda

At this pace, the full class should be covered within the next wave or two, though the company has hinted at villain-focused releases as well.

Looking Ahead

My Hero Academia's anime wrapped its main story run with the special epilogue episode "More" (No.170+1), which aired May 2, 2026 on Crunchyroll worldwide. The franchise continues through merchandise, events, and the ongoing Vigilantes anime adaptation. Horikoshi's original manga is published in English by Viz Media, with all 42 volumes available.

For international buyers, VIVIT ships from Japan. No third-party international retail partners have been announced for the POTEmocho line. Fans outside Japan should check whether the storefront supports international shipping before ordering, as availability can vary by product run.
