An Immortal Demon King With More Muscle Than Brains
Atofe Ratofe (アトーフェラトーフェ) is the older sister of Badigadi, the Demon King who appeared in Season 2. According to the episode preview from Japanese entertainment news outlet Oricon News, she combines overwhelming combat strength, a body that cannot die, and very little intelligence to go with either. The preview singles out her exchanges with Rudeus in the series' distinctive Demon God language, along with some intense battle scenes, as the episode's main draws.
Nanako Mori (Miyako Kodama in Bloom Into You, Eiko Yamano in Knights of Sidonia) voices Atofe. Her casting was revealed on August 10 alongside the promotional video for the show's current story arc.
Episode 10 Traps Rudeus Between Kishirika and a Job Offer
The synopsis picks up with Rudeus and his companions on the Demon Continent, where they have flown in search of a cure for the affliction known as Drain disease. They manage to track down Kishirika, a returning face from the series' earlier seasons, but Atofe's royal guard is hunting her too, and it hauls off Rudeus right along with its target. Standing before the Immortal Demon King herself, Rudeus gets something he probably didn't expect: an invitation to join her royal guard. Whether he takes the offer is a question for Sunday's broadcast.
The episode, titled "Audience with the Immortal Demon King" (不死魔王との謁見), airs in the late-night Sunday slot on August 30 on TOKYO MX and BS11, with simultaneous streaming on Japanese platforms ABEMA and d Anime Store.
The Chaos Breaker Arc So Far
Episode 10 continues the season's new storyline, the Chaos Breaker arc, which began with Episode 8, "Kako to Noroi to Shōkan to" (roughly "Past, Curses, and Summons"), on August 16. The arc's promotional video showcases the massive flying fortress Chaos Breaker and a return to the Demon Continent, the setting of Rudeus's Season 1 journey. Along with Mori, the arc's new cast includes Rikiya Koyama as the Armored Dragon King Perugius, plus Ayumi Tsunematsu and Kengo Kawanishi as Sylvaril and Arumanfi, two of the twelve familiars who serve him.
Season 3 premiered on July 5, 2026, with Studio Bind returning as the animation studio, a role it has held since the first season. Ryosuke Shibuya directs and shares series composition duties with Naoto Yachi, Masae Shimada and Ryota Furukawa handle character designs, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa composes the music. The anime adapts Rifujin na Magonote's light novel series published under KADOKAWA's MF Books imprint.
