Thirty Songs, Twenty-Six Years, One Detective
Kuraki's run with Detective Conan started in February 2000, when "Secret of my heart" took over as the show's ending theme. It has barely paused since. She has handled openings, endings, film themes and special-episode themes across 26 years, and the Oricon report on the certification lays out the whole chronology: "Start in my life" in 2001, "Winter Bells" that winter, "Time after time Hana Mau Machi de" for one of the films, then "Koi ni Koishite," "Togetsukyo Kimi Omou," "ZERO kara Hajimete," "Veronica" and on to this year.
The last two arrived within days of each other. Number 29 is "Hallelujah," the theme for the two-hour 30th-anniversary special that aired on September 25, 2026. Number 30 is "Ai de Zenbu Dakishimete Aishite" (roughly, "Hold All of It With Love, and Love"), which became the TV anime's ending theme the very next day, September 26. That is the song that pushed the tally past her old figure of 21, certified back in July 2017. The only person Kuraki has been competing with here is herself.
Guinness lists the category as the most theme songs performed for one animated series by the same artist. Detective Conan's TV anime turns 30 in 2026, which means Kuraki has been attached to it for 26 of those 30 years.
At the Tokyo Ceremony, Kuraki Shared the Credit
The presentation took place at the Guinness World Records Japan office in Tokyo on September 27, with the organization's Kaori Ishikawa handing over the certificate. Conan Edogawa turned up for the photos.
Kuraki said she was thrilled, called the moment "truly like a dream" and added that she was proud of it. She then shared the credit, calling the record one that belongs to everyone who loves Detective Conan and everyone who has worked on it. Fans, she said, had been telling her to go break the record again. After 26 years, the people making the series feel like family to her. She tied the songs back to the ideas the series keeps coming back to: believing in yourself, being kind, not giving up.
All 30 Tracks on One Set in November
The milestone comes with a release. "Mai Kuraki x Detective Conan COLLABORATION BEST 30," subtitled in Japanese as 「キミがいてくれたから、歌がある。」 (roughly, "Because you were here, there are songs"), arrives November 11, 2026, and collects every one of the 30 songs.
The set runs three CDs with 10 tracks each, opening with "Secret of my heart" and finishing with "Ai de Zenbu Dakishimete Aishite." A limited edition adds a Blu-ray; the standard edition is the three discs alone. The tracklist doubles as a timeline of the anime itself, from the Heisei-era openings to the ending currently airing.
Looking Ahead
"Ai de Zenbu Dakishimete Aishite" is still running as the anime's ending theme in Japan, and the best-of lands on November 11. Whether it gets a digital release outside Japan is not addressed in the announcement.
For international viewers, Detective Conan streams as Case Closed on Crunchyroll, though the catalog there covers a selection of episodes rather than the full 1,000-plus run, and no international release has been announced for the 30th-anniversary special that "Hallelujah" was written for. Gosho Aoyama's original manga is published in English by Viz Media, also under the Case Closed title. The official Detective Conan YouTube channel has been posting creditless versions of Kuraki's openings and endings to mark the 30-song milestone, currently the easiest way to hear the back catalog from outside Japan.
