Five Veteran Voice Actors Enter Vampire Territory
The latest cast reveal for I Became a Legend After My 10 Year-Long Last Stand brings some serious firepower. Nobuhiko Okamoto (Katsuki Bakugo in My Hero Academia), Takehito Koyasu (Dio Brando in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure), Kōsuke Toriumi, Satoshi Hino, and Shinya Takahashi have all been announced as additions to the anime's cast. They'll portray a group of vampires described as holding the key to the story's plot.
The catch: specific character assignments haven't been revealed yet. The five actors are currently credited only as Vampires A through E. Which vampire each actor is playing — and how these vampires factor into Rock's new life as a disguised F-rank adventurer — will be shared in a future update.
Alongside the cast reveal, the production unveiled a key visual showing Rock and his companions together for the first time.
The Cast So Far
The series is led by Gakuto Kajiwara (Asta in Black Clover, Shinra Kusakabe in Fire Force) as protagonist Luck "Rock" Franzen, the legendary mage hiding behind an adventurer alias. Toshiyuki Morikawa voices Eric Imgard Mendirival, the hero party's leader, and Tsuyoshi Koyama plays Goran Morton, the party's S-rank warrior.
The supporting cast includes Yui Ishikawa as Celliss Morton, M.A.O as Luccira, Mayu Sagara as Sia Wolcott, Yurie Kozakai as Milca, and Akari Miyazaki as Ginny. The anime is directed by Hiroyuki Kanbe at studio Gekkō, with Mitsutaka Hirota on series composition and Majiro handling character design.
About the Series
I Became a Legend After My 10 Year-Long Last Stand began as a web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2018 before SB Creative picked it up for physical publication under their GA Novel imprint. The story follows Luck, an S-rank mage in a hero's party who stays behind alone to fight the Demon King so his companions can escape. After a grueling decade-long battle, Luck finally wins — only to discover that ten years have passed and he's become a living legend. His appearance rejuvenated by the battle's effects, Luck hides his identity and starts over as "Rock," an F-rank adventurer reuniting with old friends and making new ones along the way.
The original novel spans seven volumes. A manga adaptation illustrated by Chaco Abeno has been serialized on Square Enix's Manga UP! platform, with 19 volumes published to date. Between the novel and manga, the franchise has surpassed 4.45 million copies in circulation.
Looking Ahead
I Became a Legend After My 10 Year-Long Last Stand premieres on July 6, 2026. The series was originally scheduled for April 2026 but was pushed back to give the team more time to deliver a polished product.
No international streaming partners have been announced yet. The manga adaptation is available in English through Manga UP! Global and digitally via Penguin Random House, so international fans can get acquainted with Rock's adventures before the anime airs. The official X account (@kokoore_anime) is running a giveaway campaign through June 2, 2026 to celebrate the key visual reveal.
