Sound! Euphonium and Delicious in Dungeon Stars Front the Cast
Tomoyo Kurosawa (黒沢ともよ), the voice of Kumiko Oumae in Sound! Euphonium and Phosphophyllite in Land of the Lustrous, plays Noriko Tachiki, the ordinary schoolgirl who gets pulled into another world. Opposite her, Kentarō Kumagai (熊谷健太郎), who voices Laios in Delicious in Dungeon, plays Izark Kia Tarj, the solitary wandering warrior Noriko meets on the other side.
Yūichirō Umehara (梅原裕一郎) plays Rachef, and Eiji Takeuchi (竹内栄治) plays Keimos Lee Goda, completing the four-member main cast revealed alongside a teaser visual and teaser trailer. The anime's official site hasn't posted English spellings for the character names yet, so the spellings here follow Viz Media's English edition of the manga.
A 35th-Anniversary Project Supervised by the Original Creator
The adaptation marks 35 years since the manga began serialization, according to Japanese entertainment news outlet Oricon News, and creator Kyoko Hikawa (ひかわきょうこ) is credited as supervisor across the entire series.
From Far Away, known in Japan as Kanata kara, ran in Hakusensha's shōjo magazine LaLa from 1991 to 2002 and was collected in 14 volumes. It's an isekai fantasy from two decades before the label went mainstream: Noriko, a girl led into another world, and Izark, a lonely traveling warrior, cross paths, and their meeting sets the whole world in motion.
Studio DEEN is handling animation production. Per Anime News Network's coverage, Noriyuki Abe directs, Rika Takasugi handles series composition, Eiji Abiko designs the characters, and Takeshi Hama composes the music.
Looking Ahead
The series premieres October 4, 2026 on Tokyo MX. Oricon lists ABC TV and WOWOW as additional broadcasters, and ANN's breakdown has those airings starting October 10 and October 13. The teaser trailer is streaming now on NBCUniversal Anime/Music's official YouTube channel.
No international streaming partner has been announced yet. In the meantime, Viz Media publishes the manga in English as From Far Away.
