Dengeki Bunko announced an anime adaptation of the light novel series Delta to Gamma no Rigakubu Note (デルタとガンマの理学部ノート) on October 3, 2026, at its online event Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival Online 2026, according to a Comic Natalie report.
The series is written by Takuma Sakai and illustrated by Asagi Tōsaka. The announcement video on the Dengeki Bunko YouTube channel credits Kanna Nakamura as Rio Iwama. Tōsaka's official X account posted an illustration marking the adaptation.
The novels follow high school students who love science and turn it on the puzzles they run into in daily life. Comic Natalie lists the mystery of a lost cherry tree associated with love fulfillment, a small oddity in club recruitment, the story hidden in the age of an enormous tree, and a hamster that disappeared from a locked room, with members of the high school's science club examining each case scientifically. Natalie describes the series as a story of science, romance and mystery.
KADOKAWA's page for the event lists the series' fourth volume as scheduled for October 9, 2026, and the first volume of its manga adaptation for October 27, 2026. The stream began at 4:00 p.m. JST on October 3, and the archive is up on ABEMA; KADOKAWA's page says it can be viewed for one month after the stream ends.
