A second season of the TV anime Daemons of the Shadow Realm (Yomi no Tsugai) is in production, and a teaser video and what the announcement calls a "super teaser visual" have been released, Anime Hack reported on September 24.
The teaser, posted on the Aniplex Channel on YouTube, brings back familiar characters including Asa, Sayu-sama, Gabu-chan, Dera and Hana. It also features Ivan, who fought fierce battles with Yuru and the others in the first season, and the leader of the faction that is after Yuru and Asa.
The first season aired two consecutive cours from April 2026 and reached its final episode on September 19. The report does not give a broadcast date for the second season.
Hiromu Arakawa's original manga has passed 7.5 million copies in cumulative circulation across the series. It follows Yuru, a young man who lived in a small mountain village with his twin younger sister Asa until an attack on the village reveals a shocking truth and draws him into the fighting.
