Paradis Script Goes Streetwear

Attack on Titan wrapped its decade-long TV run in fall 2023, but the franchise's grip on the merchandise market hasn't loosened. The latest drop: two original T-shirt designs sold exclusively through the Kodansha IP Shop on Amazon Japan, produced via Amazon's Merch on Demand print-on-demand service.

The standout design element is the Paradis script — the fictional writing system used within the walls of Paradis Island in the series. According to Anime Anime's report, the shirts aim to translate the show's aesthetic into "stylish, everyday wearable" apparel rather than the usual character-print fan gear. It's a subtler approach — the kind of design where fellow fans recognize it, but it doesn't scream anime on the train.

Product Details

The two T-shirt designs are priced at ¥2,970 each (tax included, roughly $20 USD) and come in six unisex sizes: S, M, L, XL, 2XL, and 3XL. They went on sale May 26, 2026 and are available exclusively through the Kodansha IP Shop on Amazon Japan.

Because these are produced through Amazon's Merch on Demand — a print-on-demand service — there's no limited production run to worry about. The shirts are printed as ordered, which means no frantic sell-out race, but it also means they're only available as long as the listing stays active on the Kodansha IP storefront.

Why Paradis Script Matters to Fans

For those who haven't studied every frame of Hajime Isayama's world-building, the Paradis script is the written language used by the people living within the three walls on Paradis Island. It appears on signs, documents, and newspapers throughout the anime and manga, and dedicated fans have decoded much of the alphabet over the years. Putting it on a shirt is a deep cut — and exactly the kind of detail that rewards long-time viewers of the series.

Attack on Titan, based on Isayama's manga serialized in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, ran for four seasons across its TV broadcast, spanning from 2013 to its finale in late 2023. Even years after the final episode, the franchise continues to generate new merchandise, collaborations, and limited-edition releases at a steady clip.

Looking Ahead

The Kodansha IP Shop's official X (formerly Twitter) account is currently running a giveaway campaign to mark the launch — worth checking if you're ordering anyway.

One important caveat for international fans: these shirts are sold through Amazon Japan, so overseas buyers will need to navigate international shipping options or use a proxy service. There's no word on whether the Kodansha IP Shop plans to expand availability to other Amazon regional storefronts. For fans outside Japan, the Merch on Demand format at least means the designs should remain available for a while — no rush to find a forwarding service overnight.
